2021 United Racing Series Schedule

LONDON, ON – United Racing Series officials in cooperation with participating tracks have released the 2021 APC United Late Model Series and United Super Stock Series schedules. The announcement is the first in the sanctioning bodies history that it has rolled out complete schedules for multiple series.

This year’s APC United Late Model schedule remains at the standard ten events at five different tracks across the province including two visits each to Delaware Speedway, Flamboro Speedway, Jukasa Motor Speedway, Sauble Speedway and Sunset Speedway. The season will open at Innisfil, Ontario’s Sunset Speedway as it traditionally does with a shakeup to end the season as the championship event will shift to Jukasa Motor Speedway in Hagersville, Ontario. Jukasa held the championship event for the 2020 season during the heavily altered season due to the ongoing pandemic.

Five Super Stock Series events are slated for 2021, all part of a unique points structure that will emphasize teams participate in their home track races regularly. The first two events of the United Racing Series season will see both series on the card including Sunset Speedway on May 22nd and Flamboro Speedway on June 5th. Both series will once again be together on a Friday night appearance at Delaware Speedway to celebrate Canada Day on July 2nd. The Super Stock Series will have its lone solo event on August 7th at Peterborough Speedway before joining the Late Models once again on September 25th to crown a champion.

The United Racing Series has once again joined forces with GForceTV for 2021 after a successful venture in 2020 that saw roughly 20,000 views on each of the four televised events. More broadcast information including scheduled start times and coverage is expected to be released closer to the start of the season.

Super Stock Points Structure and Fund

With the common goal of continuing to grow the Super Stock class in the province, the United Racing Series and track management have worked together to create a unique and exciting format to crown a true Ontario champion beginning in 2021. The five scheduled United Racing Series events for the Super Stocks will have teams earn points the same as APC United Late Model Series teams do including qualifying points, bonus points and race finishing points.

Race teams will support their home track events throughout the summer as they earn bonus points for their participation and success. Teams will be able to earn up to a maximum of 50 bonus points throughout the race season including 10 for each home track win on a regular scheduled race night. Points will be available for finishing in the top ten spots with ten for first, nine for second, eight for third etc. meaning teams can work towards the maximum of 50 points all season long as the United Racing Series will take a driver’s best five finishes for their bonus points total. Five wins at a home track means 50 points will be added in their pursuit of an Ontario crown. Additional bonus points will also be available dependent on car counts at home track weekly events. The 2021 points fund currently stands at $18,000 for the United Super Stock Series with more information coming prior to the start of the season including race payouts.

The 2021 season will be historic for many ways and the anticipation continues to grow with exciting announcements. For all things United Racing Series stay tuned to www.APCRacingSeries.com and all of the Series social media channels.
